We are conveniently located near the baseball, softball, and soccer fields at 1832 SW Tomoka Terrace, next door to the Florida School of Gymnastics.
At our studio, we go beyond just honing talent and ability. We are committed to shaping the whole person, with a strong emphasis on socio-emotional skills in the classroom. We believe in nurturing performers, leaders, and well-rounded individuals. Our aim is to instill confidence from an early age, allowing students to be part of something that inspires them to leave a positive legacy.

Owner & InstructorMrs. Sarah is 29 years old, and is married with two boys! Mrs. Sarah has 13 years of dance teaching experience. She received her Associates degree in 2013 from Santa Fe College as a dance major, and a Bachelor of Arts from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2016, where she studied Dance and Social Justice. Over the next few years, she served as Artistic Director and choreographer for the Modern dance company Dancing Waters in West Palm Beach. Mrs. Sarah has travelled nationally & internationally to choreograph, perform, teach, and speak about dance, and the arts. After moving back to Lake City, Sarah became the director of Fancy Dancer Studio and began Phoenix Competitive Dance Company. She has also been The Varsity Tigerettes coach at CHS for 4 years. Her favorite dance focuses are dance leadership, choreography, improvisation, and shaping young artists!
Mrs. Sarah instructs our ballet, tap, acro, contemporary, and leaps & turns classes, and is a Coach for our competitive dance team.

Instructor
At 28 years old, Mrs. Amanda is a dedicated wife and mother to her two year old daughter. With six years of experience in teaching dance and fitness, she brings passion and expertise to her work. In 2017 she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in Education from the University of Florida. Upon graduation, she attained a Personal Training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has worked with individuals of all ages developing personalized strength training programs. She became a Registered Behavior Technician in 2020 and has over 8 years of experience in early childhood development and education. In 2022, Mrs. Amanda expanded her repertoire by launching Amanda Lynn Photography, showcasing her talents behind the camera. Whether capturing moments through photography or choreographing dance routines, she finds joy in storytelling and offering valuable services to her community. Her passion lies in fostering an environment where young people can flourish socially, emotionally, and creatively, nurturing their growth in the art of dance. She is currently instructing Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and coaching for our competitive team, Phoenix Dance Company.

InstructorMs. Amber is a 25 year old mom, dancer instructor, and teacher. Amber has 5+ years of teaching experience.
Amber has been a part of the Fancy Dancer family since she was 3 years old. She has grown up competing in pageants and dance competitions. Amber’s dance focus is helping dancers explore their individuality, developing their artistic and emotional skills, creating a positive learning environment, and encouraging individuals to love what they do!

Office Manager
After taking a break in her professional career to settle into her new home in Live Oak, and to welcome her first grandchild into the world, Mrs. Heidi comes to Legacy with over 35 years of professional studio experience.
Mrs. Heidi has been HOA treasurer, vice president and events coordinator for one of the largest homeschool associations in the Dallas, Texas area, and has worked as an administrative assistant in the real estate industry.
More than that, her heart and core of her training has been in choreography, dance, and directing. She has had extensive training under Madame St. Laurent, a former member of the Royal Scottish Ballet.
She has choreographed and staged theater shows for elementary, middle, and high school musical productions, and has been hired for numerous community and charity events. In addition she has choreographed for local and state level pageants.
A highlight of her career was starting her own non profit dance company in Dallas, Texas and having her company headline at the Uganda National Convention.
Since 1997, when Mrs. Heidi choreographed her first theater show, her passion has been for the arts. From directing to choreography, she just can’t get enough. She looks forward to her time at Legacy Performing Arts, and is so excited to see what comes next.

Assistant Teacher
Ms. Ashley is a middle school teacher and mom to a 14-year-old son, 11-year-old daughter, and 1-year-old son. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 2009 and a master's degree in agricultural education in 2011. She has been a teacher for over 13 years. Ms. Ashley is a Florida native who grew up in Palm Beach County, FL and has been living in North Central FL since 2005. Ms. Ashley's daughter is also a dancer at Legacy!

Dance and Music Instructor
Mrs. Lindsay is a 23 year old pianist, singer, actress and dancer, currently living in Live Oak with her husband and precious newborn daughter. She began classical piano lessons at the age of 9, and began operatic vocal training at 18 under Dr. Zink, the Director of Opera Theater at Carson Newman University. Lindsay has 4+ years of teaching experience, and has sung as a lead in The Impresario in Dallas, Texas, as well as appearing as Maria in The Sound of Music at Florida Gateway College. She has performed, sang, and danced in over 30 productions.
Lindsay has also trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical, and Horton style modern dance. She was a member of Studio Arts for Dancers in Knoxville, TN & was a member of Go! Contemporary Dance Works. Lindsay has also attended dance intensives with the Moscow Russian Ballet and Ballet Magnificat.
Lindsay is passionate about the arts and wants her students to be able to reach their dreams and goals musically. She is a firm believer that having a solid foundation in music theory enables you to grow into a strong musician or vocalist, and wants to not just show you how it’s done, but to make sure you understand why. She wants her students to leave every lesson with a smile on their face and a brain full of new knowledge!
